Retirement Calculators
Choose a tool for your next planning question
Each calculator uses a simplified model. Start with the question you need to answer, enter clearly labeled assumptions, and read the limitations beside the result.
Retirement Savings Calculator
Project how a starting balance and monthly contributions might grow. Compare returns and inflation without treating a projection as a promise.
Retirement Income Calculator
Estimate a level monthly portfolio withdrawal over a chosen retirement period, expressed in purchasing power at the start of retirement.
Retirement Withdrawal Calculator
See how a chosen monthly withdrawal and inflation assumption affect a retirement portfolio under a constant-return scenario.
Retirement Savings Goal Calculator
Turn an annual retirement spending gap into an illustrative portfolio target using a withdrawal-rate assumption you choose.
FIRE Calculator
Estimate a financial-independence target and the time to reach it under a simplified constant-return savings scenario.
Retirement Inflation Calculator
Estimate a future expense or the purchasing power of future dollars using an inflation rate you choose.
401(k) Employer Match Calculator
Estimate a simple employer match using your plan’s match percentage and eligible-pay limit. This tool supports one matching tier.
Retirement Contribution Calculator
Estimate the fixed monthly contribution needed to reach a chosen future-dollar portfolio target.
Use the combined retirement plan calculator
The homepage calculator compares projected savings with an illustrative spending-based target. It is useful for a first overview before exploring contributions, withdrawals, or inflation separately.
Keep your inputs consistent
Use the same dollar basis and return convention when comparing results. Savings tools divide a nominal annual rate by 12; the income, withdrawal, and FIRE tools convert effective annual rates to effective monthly rates. Read the methodology for the difference.
