GDPR and Data Rights
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Personal-data questions and requests
RetirementPlanCalc is a US-focused retirement education website. Visitors may live in other jurisdictions, and privacy rights depend on the applicable law and circumstances. This page explains how to contact us about personal information; it does not claim certified GDPR compliance.
Send a request to contact@retirementplancalc.com. State the request clearly and provide only enough information to locate the relevant record, such as the email address used for a previous message.
Information associated with the site
Our calculator code performs calculations locally and does not intentionally submit the input values to our server. Communications you email and technical records handled by site infrastructure are separate types of information.
See the privacy policy for the purposes of those records. Some technical information may be controlled by a separate hosting, delivery, or email provider, depending on the service and contractual arrangement.
Rights that may apply
When the GDPR applies, rights can include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, subject to the law’s conditions and exceptions. Other privacy laws may provide overlapping or different rights.
A right to deletion is not always absolute. For example, a relevant legal duty or justified recordkeeping need may affect how a request can be fulfilled. We assess requests according to the law that applies rather than promise a result before reviewing the circumstances.
Submitting and verifying a request
- Describe the information or communication involved.
- Specify what you want to access, correct, delete, or otherwise address.
- Provide a safe way to reply.
- Respond to proportionate verification if needed to protect the information from unauthorized disclosure.
Do not send identity documents, Social Security numbers, passwords, or financial statements unless a specific, justified verification need has been explained. A request should not require sharing more data than necessary.
Legal bases, transfers, and providers
If GDPR-covered processing occurs, the appropriate legal basis depends on the activity and relationship. Necessary site operation, responding to a request, legal obligations, and consent for an optional service may involve different legal bases.
The website’s infrastructure may process information in countries outside a visitor’s location. We do not assert that a particular international transfer safeguard, representative appointment, or provider agreement exists without verifying it. Those arrangements require an assessment of the actual services in use.
Concerns and complaints
Contact us first if you would like clarification or believe a request was mishandled. Where applicable, you may also have a right to complain to a supervisory authority. The correct authority depends on your location and circumstances.
This page is an informational contact route. It does not replace the operator’s responsibility to assess applicable privacy obligations or obtain tailored legal advice when required.
